Dear Parents/Carers,
Thank You Mr Daniel Leiblich - Chair of Governors
Daniel Leiblich, the school’s Chair of Governors, has stepped down as Chair after 3 years in this crucial role, supporting and guiding the school with wisdom and care. Ofsted were incredibly complimentary about Governors and their work, and Daniel has been instrumental in leading this team and supporting myself and other school leaders.
We thank Daniel for everything he has contributed to the school.
Year 6 - Application for Secondary School
The Year 6 children must apply for their choices of secondary school places by 31st October 2018.
Applications should be made on-line:- https://www.bristol.gov.uk/schools-learning-early-years/secondary-admissions.
If you do not have access to a computer at home, please contact the school office who will be happy to help you with your application.
Parking
Please can you not do U-Turns outside the school as this can put children in danger if they are using the pavement. Many thanks.
Pupil Places Available
The school is almost full but we do have some space available in Year 2, 5 and 6. If you know somebody who might need a school place, please ask them to contact the school office.
Parents’ Evenings
Our first Parents’ Evenings of the new school year are on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th October. Please telephone the school office to make an appointment.
Supporting St Pius Catholic Primary School
School of Christ the King has been asked to support St Pius Catholic Primary School in Withywood.
As part of this collaboration, I will be working at St. Pius for two days each week for Term 1 only. In my absence, the school will managed by Mrs Triggs and then Mr Purser when Mrs Triggs is absent.
After-School Clubs
There are a range of after school clubs starting and information will be published in the newsletter.
Multisports for Year 3 & 4 and Years 5 & 6 started this week. Years 3 & 4 is every Thursday and Years 5 & 6 every Friday. Your child needs to pay at £1.00 to the school office each week if they wish to attend.
