Filwood Hope

Filwood Hope is a drop-in advice centre – no need for appointments. We have been serving the community of Knowle West since December 1996. We are the first port of call for many people so however big or small you feel your enquiry to be please do not hesitate to drop-in. We are able to help you with letter writing, form filling, employment issues etc. We look forward to seeing you.

Lent Fundraising

As usual, this year during lent we will be having weekly fundraising events to raise money for charity.  Our charities this year are CAFOD and the Great Western Air Ambulance.  The activities are as follows:-

Friday 23rd February - Cake Sale
Thursday / Friday 1st / 2nd March - Penalty shoot-out £1 to enter
Friday 9th March - class sponsored events - each class will decide what they are going to do
Friday 16th March - penny trail - start collecting those coins!
Friday 23rd March - film afternoon £1 per family

We will alo have a ‘guess the name’ competition 50p a go and an Easter Egg raffle 20p per ticket or £1 a strip.

Parents Evening

We will be holding Parents’ Evening on the Tuesday and Wednesday 27th & 28th February. Please telephone the school office to make an appointment (01179664844).

Matthew Tree Project

We would like to continue to support the Matthew Tree Project all year round.  There is a crate by the front door for your donations of packet/tinned food and toiletries.  Thank you.

Chill TIme Klub

A reminder that payment for Chill Time Klub must be paid on the day or in advance.

School Lunches

From the 19th February the school meals will no longer be prepared by Eden.  The new catering contract has been awarded to Chartwells.  Details of the new menu will be sent out next week.  Good news - the price of the meals have been reduced to £2.05.

Family Support Drop-ins

Mrs Selway is now hosting informal drop-in sessions each Friday morning. This time will enable parents/carers to seek support and advice. Mrs Selway will help in any way she can and also provide links to other organisations who offer support. If you have a worry of any kind - pop in!
