Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to the New Year.  We hope you all had a lovely time celebrating Christmas and New Year.

Christmas gifts

Thank you to all of you for the lovely Christmas gifts you gave us.  They were very much appreciated!

Reception Applications

 Parents can now apply for places for Reception 2019 via www.bristol.gov.uk/schooladmissions.  All applications need to be made by the 15th January 2019.  A supplementary form also needs to be completed and returned to the school office.

Census Day - 17th January

 Next Thursday is Census day and it would really benefit the school if children could eat a hot dinner.  The school will receive funding for the number of children who consume hot dinners.

The menu for next Thursday is ‘Build a Burger’.

Cosmos Choir

 Cosmos Choir will be performing at St George’s on the 14th March.

Paediatric First Aid

 A Paediatric first aid course is being held at Filwood Community Centre.  Please contact Lucy on 07788353446.

Head teacher awards

 Head teacher awards for Monday 14th January:- Roxy (R), Ella (Y1), Merit & Ayla (Y2), Archie & Cienna (Y3), Hollie-Jade, Isabel (Y4), Noells & Chiebuka (Y5) and Gracie & Dupree (Y6).

Attendance 

 Well done to the following classes who had attendance at over 97% this week:
Year 4 - 100%
Year 5 - 98%

This means that Year 4 will have a non uniform day on Friday 18th January.
